At the invitation of Löwenpudel e.V., Empty Stands was represented last Saturday, 1 August 2026, at the season opener of VfL Osnabrück. While our friends from Löwenpudel e.V. designed a “path of the senses” and sold waffles non-stop in support of Empty Stands, our information stand was entirely dedicated to Long Covid, Post-Vac and ME/CFS.

In addition to classic awareness work through information material and personal conversations, visitors this time were also able to try interactive activities such as a grip-strength challenge and a mini-quiz. Furthermore, in exchange for a donation to the ME/CFS Research Foundation, muffins, supporter scarves, and linocut prints of the stadium and the “Löwenpudel” made by an affected person were on offer. Afterwards, we were able to watch the friendly match against SC Paderborn together from the south stand.

We would like to sincerely thank Löwenpudel e.V. for their fantastic commitment, VfL Osnabrück for the opportunity to gain visibility as part of the season opener, and all the fans who engaged in various ways with the challenges of Post Covid, Post Vac and ME/CFS.

See you next time – You’ll Never Walk Alone!
