On September 6, 2026, we were guests at the Fortuna derby between Fortuna Köln and Fortuna Düsseldorf. As part of the campaign, we had a stand with a perfect view of the pitch. In addition, 40 of our posters were hung around the stadium, so our campaign was visible to all spectators. Before the match, the stadium announcer drew attention to the campaign match day with an announcement. The MagentaTV commentator also mentioned the campaign match day before kick-off. We were also continuously present during the match: a graphic was displayed on the LED banners from time to time with the message “ME/CFS needs more attention. And more research.”, surrounded by our logo and the logo of Fortuna Köln. This made the campaign visible to all spectators, including TV viewers. In parallel with the campaign, we also set up a fundraiser where people could donate in support of Fortuna Köln in the Spendenliga (Donation League).

Even before the match, the club drew attention to the campaign day with an awareness reel. After the event, the players continued to support the campaign by taking a photo with our “CURE ME/CFS” banner after a training session.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped on site, as well as the club for its tremendous support, including providing food and drinks for our volunteers. This was a successful start to the new season, which will include several more campaign match days. We are already looking forward to the next events!
